1st Guest Speaker of the year…

On Thursday we will be having our very first speaker for the HHS FCA group. The speaker will be Billy Christol from Burning Bush Baptist Church. You don’t want to miss out on what Billy has to share with us! Be there if you can! And don’t forget to bring ALL of your friends!!!

Hey, don’t forget that everyone needs to be at the FCA meeting a little early on Thursday to prepare. The actual meeting is at 7:15 so be there earlier than that if you can!

Hey! This is a note to everyone that is involved in the leadership group for FCA. Mark your calendars, we are going to be going to a Leadership clinic on September 9th. Yes, this is going to be during school, but it is an excused absence. We will be leaving at 8:30 in the morning. There is no cost to go.

SEE YOU AT THE POLE

Hey everyone! Here is another even to mark in you calanders: See You At The Pole. The time for the morning service will be posted soon! But the evening service with the rest of the county is at 7pm on September 24 at Heritage High School. This is an extremely fun event! Be sure to be there and bring several of your friends, church going or not!

Okay, so this video displayed two different messages to me. The first one being, that there are people watching us. Just like the little girl in the beginning of this video, there are people who hear and see us. If they are people who don’t know much about God and don’t know much about being a Christian, they will probably make assumptions on what it is to be a Christian and how you can act. The next message is that we don’t fall into a HUMONGUS sin just right off the bat. We “slowly fade” into it. Just like the song says. So whenever you find that little temptation creeping up on you, just remember that one little bitty temptation will just lead to another one, and before you know it, you’re into some deep trouble. Let’s go out and remember to let God take control of our lives, and to live our lives like He wants us to!

FCA 4 EVERYONE

Hey! So we often get this question: DO I HAVE TO BE AN ATHLETE TO BE IN FCA? Well the answer happens to be NO!!!!!!!!!! Another question that I often get is: DO I HAVE TO BE IN A SPORT WHILE I AM ATTENDING FCA? Again, the answer is NO!!!! FCA is for everyone and their friend. Our main goal is to be able to provide a Christian atmosphere for other students and teachers. We want to be able to reach out to everyone that is willing to listen to the voice of God.

So this year is the first year of Heritage High School! With that being said, this is also the first year of FCA at HHS. We are really excited and cannot wait until everything gets up and running! Our first meeting will be the Thursday after Labor Day. We will meet at 7:15. The location of our meeting will be decided soon!
